College Athletes make the Best Male Models

College athletes who lift weights and are dedicated at training their bodies tend to be a perfect fit as male models. Healthy, active and dedicated to following through to a goal, they already have the "equipment" casting agents seek in guys needed to fill male modeling assignments.

While non-athlete college students we recruited often had to play catch-up by building muscle prior to being ready for their photo shoots, varsity athletes were usually already muscular. This saved time.

Athletes tend to be easier to work with at photo shoots and are more open to different poses. For pinup calendars, having an athlete as Mr. March was a field goal.

While some non-athletes needed multiple photo shoots before they would learn to get comfortable being undressed in front of the camera, athletes tend to not consider being naked or posing in skin-tight underwear such a big deal. Since athletes are accustomed to being undressed in the presence of others in the locker room, many tend to not be not shy posing for risqu photography or become more comfortable faster than other guys.

Pro Athletes show it off
Dieux de Stade, the French National Rugby Team, publishes an annual calendar that features its players in well-regarded, high quality nude photos. The calendar features the players in the locker room in artistic black and white photos and has become very popular worldwide. Each year, more and more players in France are eager to pose for the calendar. Athletes = not shy.

So, if college athletes make perfect male models, but cannot model professionally, what can a college athlete do if others have told him all his life that he should model, but he is paying his way through college with scholarships?

The simplest answer is the only answer: you must wait.

However, there are some smart preparations a young guy can do to help his chances of succeeding in male modeling once his NCAA eligibility has ended.
